Submission Contests

Drive tons of entries and pageviews with a cutest trick or treater, best pet costume, or even a fall leaves photo contest.

The Roanoke Times made $3,000 from running their Spookiest Kids photo contest sponsored by two local clothing stores. The contest had over 100 entries and brought in nearly 450 email addresses for the sponsors.

People just love the annual Halloween Pet Photo Contest by WMYX-FM. The contest received over 96,000 votes – that’s a TON of exposure for their sponsors.

Halloween-themed quizzes can target a wide audience and get tons of shares on social media.

WJW-TV ran this creepy quiz sponsored by a local haunted house. Plus anyone who took the quiz was entered into a sweepstakes to win tickets to the haunted house. The quiz collected over 750 emails for the sponsor.

WHNT-TV created this quiz based on the classic movie “It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.” It was sponsored by a local pumpkin patch and was a great way for the advertiser to spread awareness about their farm during the prime pumpkin-picking season.

Reel in lots of entries when you run a sweepstakes offering tickets to haunted houses, harvest festivals, or other fun fall activities.

Sponsored by King’s Dominion, a local haunted house, this sweepstakes by WTVR-TV was a huge hit. Not only did the prize include four tickets to the attraction, but it also included a $200 gift card. The contest was able to collect nearly 4,500 email addresses for the sponsor.

WTVC-TV worked with a local theme park to create a sweepstakes promoting the park’s Halloween special event. The contest received over 4,300 entries trying to win the valuable prize of a family four-pack of tickets.
