The Citrus County Chronicle created a digital experience for celebrating senior high school students in their community with a ballot that allowed their audience to nominate students for different superlatives. They knew this was something many businesses would want to associate their brand with. The Withlacoochee Technical College signed as a sponsor for this promotion and was able to align themselves with the major engagement this promotion received while gathering leads of those interested in their college. All of this instilled the a strong confidence in the lead generation potential of contests for the Withlacoochee Technical College, and they chose to sponsor all of the National Sweepstakes run by the Citrus County Chronicle the following year!

Wildlife for Dummies: Will You Survive Your Next Encounter? | Sheridan Media

The team at Sheridan Media curated a fun and satirical quiz that was a play on run-ins tourists have with wildlife in Wyoming. They landed a local real estate agent as a sponsor who was looking for a way to boost their awareness in the community and drive leads. Nearly 300 people interacted with the quiz and the sponsor received a multitude of legitimate leads to bolster their business. Because of the success of this quiz, the sponsor told Sheridan Media they wanted to be included in any promotions involving animals, and went on to sponsor two pet-themed photo contests that year!

Teacher of the Month | West Kentucky Star

The team at West Kentucky Star targeted their client, Scott Walker Construction, as a great fit for their Teacher of the Month recurring campaign, as it would allow Scott Walker Construction to align their brand with giving back to the community. Each month, participants could nominate and then vote for their favorite teachers. At the end of the year, they compiled the winners of each month and allowed their audience to vote for the Teacher of the Year. The program attracted hundreds of people within the community and emoted such a feel-good correlation with their brand, Scott Walker Construction renewed for another school year.

National Pizza Month with Brew Pub Lotzza Motzza Pizza | WGN Radio

WGN Radio wanted to help their client, Brew Pub Pizzas, capitalize on national pizza month and generate buzz and awareness of their frozen pizza brand. They crafted a sweepstakes with a prize of pizza for a year and a professional grade pizza oven to draw in their audience. They also tied in their sports programming and interviews with one of their personalities, “Pizza Matt”, who talked about the product and the promotion. 1,000 people entered the contest and provided much needed audience data like their purchase preferences for frozen pizzas. All of this solidified Brew Pub Pizzas’ decision to increase their yearly spend with WGN by 25%!

Win $200 Worth of Fuel from MacFood Mart | Federated – Fort Wayne

This sweepstakes allowed the Federated – Fort Wayne team utilize the extra chances feature to drive results for their sponsor, MacFood Mart. They used the codeword extra chance to incentivize listeners to attend remotes and events that the gas stations were participating in with the Federated – Fort Wayne radio stations. They also included extra chances for Facebook follows, Instagram follows, and app downloads. With nearly 1,000 users entering the promotion and 90+ app downloads, MacFood Mart decided to duplicate this promotion 2 more times with the Federated Fort-Wayne team!

Piggly Wiggly Payday Giveaway | AL.com

The team at AL.com curated a sweepstakes for their grocery client, Piggly Wiggly, with the goal of providing their client with audience data, as well as increasing their app downloads and e-newsletter signups. This sweepstakes secured 700+ app downloads and 3,000+ newsletter opt-ins. These results lead to this client signing for 3 more contests in the coming months!

Christmas Movie Madness | KFDX-TV

The KFDX-TV team knew they needed additional revenue for their digital budgets, so they capitalized on the Christmas hype and ran a bracket for the first time. They targeted a current advertiser, Legend Bank, for this Christmas movie bracket, and the results spoke for themselves. Over 600 people interacted with the bracket, their sponsor received over 100 opt-ins, and even received much-needed audience data from questions like ‘Which types of banking services are you most interested in?’. Not only did this client purchase more from the KFDX-TV team with this promotion, but they also signed a brand-new annual agreement!

Dupont Family Dentistry-SMILE Fort Wayne Digital Denture Giveaway | WOWO-FM

The WOWO-FM had an existing client, Dupont Family Dentistry, who had yet to try promotions as a marketing tactic. The WOWO-FM team decided to craft a sweepstakes to boost the launch of their client’s new 3D printed digital dentures. Entrants could submit their story explaining why they should receive a free set of dentures, and the sponsor would choose the winner. Through the sweepstakes, their sponsor received about 750 applicants, of which 450 were very serious leads. The sponsor was ecstatic with the results and touched to read all of the stories from the applicants. Due to this success, the Dupont Family Dentistry decided to increase their annual spend to include more promotions!
