The Idea
The County 10 team needed to come up with a creative promotion that helped their sponsor, the Wyoming Department of Transportation, interact with their community in a fun and engaging way. The DOT also wanted to bring awareness to driving conditions in the winter and how to drive with and around snow plows in Wyoming. A niche ballot was just the thing they needed to achieve this.

The Execution
The County 10 team came up with the idea of naming the snow plows of the Wyoming Department of Transportation. They created a niche ballot to allow the community to submit fun names, and then vote for the winners. In order to tie in community involvement, the County 10 team invited local school artists to actually paint the names chosen on the fleet of snow plows.

Snow plow safety tips were also listed with the ballot and the invite/thank you emails sent to their audience to help educate their community on how to stay safe while sharing the road with snow plows.

To promote this contest, the County 10 team ran ads on their organization website, on their social media, and included commercials/spots with their hosts on their radio stations.

Once the winning snowplow names were crowned, County 10 extended the excitement with a month-long campaign spotlighting painting process, where local high schoolers brought the names to life on the plows themselves.

The Results
After over 450 votes were submitted, 34 snow plow names were chosen! And this promotion turned out to be a favorite among the County 10 team, as it helped secure their sponsor but also allowed them to engage with their community in a wholesome way.
County 10 secured $4,500 in revenue with this campaign, and their community earned adorable snow plows to spot throughout the winter season!
