The Idea

KY3-TV, part of Schurz Communications, is a DMA 75 television station in Springfield, Missouri. We have been running our contest program since 2009. Recently, we decided to start offering Facebook Advertiser campaigns as a service to our clients.

For this particular campaign, Basin Park Hotel was looking to grow their email database and increase their Facebook presence. We wanted to build excitement around this hotel and create a marketing platform for future campaigns.

The Execution

In order to help the advertiser achieve their goals, we decided to run a Romantic Getaway sweepstakes for the hotel, which included:

  • Creation and administration of the contest
  • Banner ads
  • Mentions on our Facebook Page
  • Weekly emails to our database
  • Fixed thumbnail on our contest page

The Results

This campaign was a huge success for our advertiser. The contest gave them nearly 4,000 leads to market to in the future, plus grew their Facebook Likes by 2,000. Plus, we generated $1,000 in revenue, and hope to be able to run a lot more of these advertiser-focused promotions in the future.

This promotion was so successful for our advertiser that we are currently running another campaign with them, which generated $4,000 in revenue for us. They plan to continue doing more substantial digital marketing with us.
